I have been feeling this in my spirit a lot lately.
I’ve talked with others who have a strong faith walk and they are feeling it as well.
Listen, I’m not going to pretend I know the Bible as well as I would like to. I won’t pretend that I am some theologian that can interpret all the Bible references and meanings. I’m not even going to pretend that I spend as much time reading the Bible as I should.
But I have tried very hard to at least make it a daily practice. Whether it’s 5 minutes or 45 minutes.
Some days maybe a light goes off and something clicks. Some days I have no clue what I read.
I have read the Bible through twice in my life. I started for the third time at the beginning of the year and decided I was going to do it differently this time. I wasn’t going to try to have a timeline. I was going to spend more time on sections trying to understand it better, rather than making it a checklist of “I read it in a year”
I have a life application Bible that has explanatory notes that I have started reading each day that corresponds to the chapter I’m reading. This was in today’s notes.
I don’t know why I feel so aware of the spiritual warfare around us. I don’t know why some people don’t. I have my suspicions.
I have days that I struggle walking around like life is normal, when I feel this warfare in my spirit. To be quite honest, there are some days that I really wish I could go back to the days where I didn’t feel it.
The one thing I do know, is it makes me want to live out my faith in an undeniable way.
I’m curious, is anyone else feeling this too?
